Tom Campbell (siehe:
http://cropfm.bboard.de/board/ftopic-44 ...
"When I say that TBC [The Big Computer] is like the computer on your desktop, I am referring to the fundamental functional buildings blocks of
binary cells, memory, instruction-sets, processords,
data flow mecanics, and operating system control, not the specific design of these things or the system architecture. Think of a computer in the most generic terms possible and take care not to limit your imagination by what your presently know about computers." ~ TC (My Big TOE)
und
"There may be a better computing basis than binary and if there is, AUM [bzw. TBC] probably uses it. However, I am only describing operational concepts not implementation details - and a binary computing basis is by far the most simple and most comprehensible metaphor for us to use." ~TC (My Big TOE)
